Gurjan oil is prepared from the wood of Gurjan plant by using the steam distillation extraction process. It is scientifically known as Dipterocarpus Turbinatus Balsam and belongs to Dipterocarpaceae family. This family has around 70 species which are grown in the large Southeast Asian region. The name of this tree has taken from Greek word which means depicts as two-winged fruits.
